Scent layering is the practice of combining different fragrances to create a bespoke scent. By blending various notes, you can craft a complex and multi-dimensional fragrance that evolves beautifully throughout the day and is individual to you.
How to Master Scent Layering
- Begin with a Clean Canvas: Start with freshly cleansed skin using our Body Wash to create the perfect canvas to layer your scents.
- Choose a Base Scent: Select a base scent that will be the foundation of your layered fragrance. For the most long-lasting routine, this layer should be in the Body Cream. Opt for a strong scent for this layer.
- Add Complementary Notes: Then layer the Body Oil. Choose additional scents that complement your base. For example, pair floral notes with woody notes for a elegant blend, citrus with gourmand for youthful sophistication or floral notes with spicy notes for a grounded aroma.
- Experiment and Play: Don't be afraid to try different combinations and ratios. You can apply even layers of products or more or less of one. For example, you can apply a layer of the first body oil or body cream all over your body and apply the second body oil on key areas only. Trust your instincts and let your nose guide you.
- Give It Time: Allow each layer to dry before adding the next. This ensures the scents blend harmoniously.
